Côa Museum has launched the first biological olive oil produced in the lands of the Archaeological Park of Côa Valley. This outstanding product can be bought online on the website of the Côa Museum or at the museum shop.
The extra-virgin biological olive oil Chousas Nostras made from the olive trees of the slopes of the Archaeological Park of Côa Valley is the result of a fruitful partnership between the Côa Park Foundation and the agricultural company Gerações de Xisto.
The olive grove is cultivated in a sustainable way with no employ of chemical fertilisers or pesticides. The trees are handled with extreme care and preserved to produce olive oils of exceptional quality. Olives are beaten and hand-picked, according to tradition. The trees of different ages and sizes are explores in a biological production mode. And the golden liquid obtained from the olive trees is the testimony of memories and local traditions.
