Burel Architecture

Launched in February during the Surface Design Show 2022, Burel Architecture is a new brand developed by Burel Factory focused on interior architecture and design. The creative design has the signature of award-winning Portuguese designer Rui Tomás.

The new brand Burel Architecture has new pieces, wall coverings, panels, handmade burel stitches, tangrams, burel tiles, furniture and additional decor. All these creations can be seen in the newly launched website of the brand.

Burel Architecture is the result of a 3 year long research led by NewAppBurel, Trendburel, Itecons and the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra that led to "creative innovative acoustic solutions through burel and its wastes for creating model products with great thermal performance and high acoustic isolation."

The result is a new line of recycled burel, proceeding the zero-waste policy of the brand, which recently obtained the RCS (Recycled Claim Stadard) certification. The ideal, natural and sustainable solution for acoustic coverings, while providing spaces with high aesthetic and thermal environment.
