Cabeça, Aldeia Natal, a Mountain Village located in the region of Seia, Serra da Estrela, is the first eco-sustainable Christmas village in the country! Supported by echo-design experts, local communities have engaged in the task of developing Christmas décor by using natural elements, agricultural and forest surplus, as well as wool of Serra da Estrela Mountain!
Located at a curvy granite hill the village kept growing as if it were a Christmas crib! A privileged location that the inhabitants of Cabeça make the most of during Christmas time.
Around Cabeça wide areas of steep slopes were erected along the centuries, where the soil is supported by schist and granite walls. Nature provides the whole material for celebrating Christmas: the stars, for example, are made of maze and the Christmas balls are moulded with fern leaves.
