Located in the parish of Faia, in Pinhel, near the village of Azêvo, in the region of Guarda, the recently opened Faia Belvedere offers an unrivalled view over the Côa River. The perfect spot to enjoy all the speechless splendour of Côa Valley!
This breath-taking belvedere is, in fact, the first of many investments carried out by the municipality of Pinhel that include the construction of a falconry near the Castle of Pinhel, as well as the implementation of several belvederes along the Côa River, connected by walking trails at the heart of nature.
The structure was built in iron place, because of its resilience and visual permeability, allowing a 180 degree vision over the involving natural landscape. Visitors feel like they are actually floating. Structurally, the platforms and stair arms have a mesh of metal profiles which guarantee their stability and safety on the ground.
The best way to get to Faia Belvedere is by car to Faia. Departing from this village, the last 450 meters must be made on foot in a relatively easy walking path.
A place of silence, peace of mind and sheer communion with nature. This is definitely one of the best views over the fascinating Côa Valley, a precious gem of Center of Portugal region!
