The Alcobaça apple is not just a regular apple. It is actually a combination of 9 different apple varieties: Casa Nova (exclusively Portuguese variety), Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Royal Gala, Fuji, Granny smith, Jonagold, Reineta and Pink!

Recognised with the Protected Geographical Indication, this outstanding fruit is also the leitmotif of a tourism route through the producers of Alcobaça apple and the rich historical heritage of Alcobaça region.

Alcobaça apple is picked from August to November and produced in a sustainable and environmental-friendly way. The micro-climate of Alcobaça plays a major role in terms of the uniqueness of taste and crunchiness.
