Casa do Mogadouro is located in the village of the same name, in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, five kilometers from the Historical Village of Linhares da Beira. Dating back to the first quarter of the 19th century, it was bought in the mid-20th century by the current owners' family. The house is in rural surroundings and is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the mountain landscape. The house retains some of its original features, including the wine cellar, the alembic and an oven traditionally for community use that can still be used to bake bread today.
The rooms are decorated with simplicity and good taste, combining traditional style with more modern styles features. As well as offering accommodation in individual rooms, Casa de Mogadouro has a fully equipped apartment. There is also a swimming pool, tennis court, barbecue, snooker table and bicycles. It is next to Tia Amelia's cheese factory, which produces the best Serra da Estrela cheese.
