Casas do Vale do Ninho came out of the ruins of ancient stone and warehouses that existed in the place called Vale do Ninho (19th century) in the Schist Village of Ferraria de São João. The houses were rebuilt in such a way to provide high standards of comfort to the guests all around the year. These are 3 different houses that can be rented separately or including breakfast with capacity for 3 to 5 persons. Designed by architect Pedro Brígida, these houses follow sustainability and eco-efficience standards, in terms of natural materials that were used and energy consumption. The houses have also a biological pool, a wide garde and a valley in front, offering a true sense of being one with nature.
Casas do Vale do Ninho have 3 different kinds of independent houses with kitchenette: studio Nightjar (3 persons max), Cuckoo villa (4 persons max) with possibility of indoor connection and family studio Woodpecker (5 persons max). Total capacity is 12 individuals or 4 couple beds and 4 individual beds, divided by 3 houses.
Vale do Ninho is baby friendly (cradles, tub and meal chairs available and children under 2 years-old do not pay), bike friendly (bikes of all sizes, garage, washing, maintenance workshop and routes available) and dog friendly (dogs are allowed on one of the houses under special conditions).
Each house has a bathroom with shower, kichenette with fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, cooking plate and microwaves and living room with table, chairs and sofa. Houses are heated by heated floor and hot/cold air ventilated by convector heaters. They have privileged access through a big-dimension window, independent terrace and common garden with natural pool and a lake, biological garden and barbecue. Houses are equipped with plates, cups, cutlery, pots and pans and TV. 2 Nespresso capsules, olive oil, salt, sugar, tea and local biscuits are complimentary.
