Cerdeira - Home for Creativity provides a unique combination of high-quality accommodations and a unique cultural project.

Guests stay in one of nine schist houses that were reconstructed using local techniques, with a perfect balance of comfort and tradition. Some of these houses were worked on by domestic and international artists inspired by the village, for the creation of unique components adapted to each house.

Guests have the opportunity to participate in creative experience in the workshops of the Cerdeira Schist Village. These will allow them to have their first experiences with creating ceramic figures, sculpting with wood, and other experiences we offer. These creative activities are also open to families.

Cerdeira is a place for artistic creation, thanks to its international artist residencies and its "Escola de Artes e Ofícios" (School of Arts and Crafts). It's a destination for creativity and well-being. A hidden gem filled with craft fairs that are truly reinvigorating, drawing on its rich natural beauty, quiet surroundings, and a system of infrastructure that makes this possible: the accommodations, the "Casa das Artes" (House of Arts), the studios, the Library, the Gallery, the community oven, and the grapevine cafe.

Social Responsibility and Ecological Sustainability are fundamental concerns, applied not only in the reconstruction phase by using local techniques and laborers and the use of ecological materials, but also in how it is run every day! This operation has been given a European Eco-label certification.
