At one of the buildings, you can visit the unusual collection of philanthropist Abel Lacerda which includes around five hundred painting, sculpture, furniture and tapestry pieces which range from the Roman Era up to the Contemporary Era. This collection has been improved thanks to the offers made by important collectors and artists like Vieira da Silva, Jean Lurçat, Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso.
The building next to it was built by João de Lacerda in order to hold 100 classic cars and motorbikes, allowing all vehicles to circulate outside the building when necessary. Here you can visit a permanent exhibition which, apart from an old bicycle and tricycle collection, 30 motorbikes and 70 cars among which the oldest car still working in Portugal, an 1899 Peugeot.
