Set in a beautiful 17th century building, Paço dos Cunhas & Casa de Santar Vinhos (16km away from Viseu) was restored by 19|90 Premium Wines enterprise, becoming one of the most prestigious wine tourisms in Portugal. The renovation project is signed by Portuguese architect Pedro Mateus. Here you will find the perfect balance between tradition and modernity in an environment full of comfort.

With an aristocratic bearing, Santar invites us to walk through its streets full of buildings, once residence to the most noble Portuguese families. Manor houses, palaces and stately homes created with the granite from the highlands, intertwined with green gardens, paint the picture of this inviting place.

It is in the heart of this village that we find the stately Paço dos Cunhas, built in 1609, a place that invites us to learn about its four centuries of history, linked to the production of wine and olive oil, and where we find the old, organically grown Vinha do Contador, one of the most emblematic wines in this region's wine-making history.
