Heavenly placed in a landscape of colour-changing vineyards facing the picturesque Aldeia Galega da Merceana, the wine estate Cas’Amaro is the place where tradition meets contemporary design. Under the magic spell of sustainable wine-making, deeply influenced by the Atlantic.
Designed by Atelier Central Arquitectos, an old winery was beautifully converted in a disruptive building that has nevertheless managed to preserve pivotal elements of the old construction, namely: wine deposits, wine press, concrete floor and wooden roof trusses. This project combines the passion for wine, design, art and architecture.
Apart from the wine tourism project, Cas’Amaro Villa is also an exquisite accommodation with 3 suites that provide a memorable experience to its guests. Ideal for families, the suites feature a kitchen with refrigerator, dish washer and cooktop. There is also an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a common living room and a terrace. Bikes are also available on request.
In Cas’Amaro, wine making respects local ecosystems, indigenous grape varieties, working organically within the existing terroirs. Perfectly aligned with nature.
Cas’Amaro is located 16 minutes away from the enchanting town of Alenquer with its charming white houses and 41 minutes away from the unique Medieval village of Óbidos. Lisbon Airport can be reached in 45 minutes.
