Inspired by the bee-keeping world, Côa Honeycomb is a deeply unexpected accommodation in the breath-taking Côa Valley, in Vale Madeira, next to Ermo das Águias, in the municipality of Pinhel. This is the epicentre of the work of Rewilding Europe in Portugal.
Thousands of honeycombs served as inspiration built with sustainability in mind: in wood, a material of excellence in terms of thermal comfort and the best acoustic insulation. Two bungalows have one room for 2 guests with possibility of an extra-bed (sofa bed) and two bungalows with two rooms for 4 guests with the possibility of an extra-bed (sofa bed). An old dovecote, now recovered, serves as a common area where honey, wine and olive oil recall the ancestral balance between humans and nature.
Côa Honeycomb organises several exciting activites for its guests: bee-keeping; agriculture; tasting of regional products; wine tasting; interaction with animals; walking tours; offroad tours and painting workshop for kids.
The perfect starting point to discover the magical Côa River!
