Awarded a Bib Gourmand 2024 by the Guide Michelin Portugal, the cosy bistrô Flora enjoys a great location at the historical heart of Viseu, in the Cathedral quarter. This restaurant is known for its outstanding product cuisine. Sustainability at the core of its daily practice.
Owned by the couple João Guedes Ferreira in the kitchen and Anna Ortner in the dining room, Flora values seasonal products, along with foreign influences. All of them mixed with great creativity. There are many surprising possibilities: spicy polenta with fennel pickle; codfish confit; Azorean white trevally or banana syrup ice cream with sweet rice of liquorice root. The menus change according to the seasons, driven by the respect for nature and rooted on a trust relationship with local producers, thus enhancing circular economy.
Flora offers a carefully curated selection of low-intervention, biodynamic and organic wines, as well as homemade beers, ciders and soft drinks. The tasting menus available can have either 6 or 8 moments.
A deeply surprising spot that provides its guests a contemporary ambiance, hand in hand with the excellence of local production!
