Nadia Schilling's project enhances coastal sensitivity, with a 800m wooden walkway connecting viewpoints while preserving fragile ecosystems.

With a length of approximately 800m, this project, designed by Nadia Schilling, works a section of the coast which consists of a set of cliffs and dune systems of high ecological sensitivity, characterized by its biodiversity, the uniqueness of their floristic communities and for being important landscape areas, with panoramic cliffs defining lines of great interest and scenic value.

Seven flattened spaces were identified, used as sights, which despite being a part of an area subjected to erosion processes being duly tagged and marked for its risk, are areas subject to intense and regular occupancy by persons and vehicles, suffering degradation processes and jeopardizing the safety of people.

The concept of this project aimed at regulating the access to these spaces, driving people away from the risk range, with the delineation of an alternative route that would make the connection between viewpoints and that worked out simultaneously as the reinstatement of degraded spaces, eliminating invasive species and replanting native species.

For this, it was proposed a wooden walkway connecting these spaces, that defined a route that allowed to scroll through these spaces without destroying them, and that at the same time worked as a limit.
