Food isn't just food. It is a way of expressing central values of ethics and sustainability. As a result of the global pandemic, a true revolution is taking place in the food sector. This edition is dedicated to this green revolution taking place.

Bio D'Agro is a pilot project for the development of inland border regions of Center of Portugal. 4.0 agriculture happening in Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, at the heart of Douro International Natural Park.

After many years as set-aside areas, the rice fields of Salreu, in Estarreja municipality, in the region of Aveiro, were brought back to life by the environmental project BioRia. Portugal is the third biggest rice producer in Europe.

The couple of young Chefs Inês Beja and Nuno Fonte decided to open a charming restaurant in a cosy village near Viseu called De Raiz. A unique family-like place that pays homage to traditional granny recipes that passed from generation to generation.

Bravo de Esmolfe Apple

Known since the 18th century, this apple is original from the Esmolfe village, in Penalva do Castelo and it’s an exclusively Portuguese product.

Fruit Square in Caldas da Rainha
